On our second morning in Siargao, I woke up bright and early! I let Jim sleep in a little bit more while I read my Miranda July book over coffee. Once Jim woke up, we headed straight to Very Good Nice for another surf sesh — do I sound gnarly yet?? Yuck haha.
We were going to head to a more intermediate surf spot but they said something about the time and the tide. I’m not sure what it was but we decided to just surf at Jacking Horse again.
Post surfing, we grabbed lunch at Bravo Beach Resort. I really liked how the place looked and all the guests seemed so relaxed — some were even napping on the couches.
The food was good!
We went back home to shower and then we rented a scooter to try and drive ourselves to dinner. We both had no prior experience with motorcycles so I don’t know what we were thinking. Watch this short video:
Instead of going out for dinner, we got a little too stressed that afternoon so we decided to just stay in.
Before eating, Jim took out a letter he wrote me for our anniversary.
Of course I cried a lot while reading it UGH. I asked for his permission and he’s allowed me to share an excerpt:
I dream about you. I still daydream about you. Of how we got here and what else is in store for us.
Hehehe the rest is just for me nalang. I turned the letter over and there were song lyrics and then he played a recording of it. Siyempre I cried some more.
Stay in your room
I’ll stay in mine
But when we’re both done
I’ll hold you tight
Like a candlelight
But they’ll keep us warm
Throughout the night
Each new song will have its place
And old songs will slowly fade
But every song that we’ve made
For all of time
I really am the luckiest, aren’t I?
