Q: How to have a flawless skin like yours?
A: I know it’s the annoying answer but I really just clean my face every night. When I’m dehydrated, it becomes so obvious with my skin! My pores aren’t as tight and I look so tired. So when people say “drink water” as a beauty tip: IT’S TRUE!!! Hahaha! Gusto ko mag try mag regular facials though. I think I’m going to need it now that I’m entering my 30s! Well, not NEED but if I want to maintain this, then I should really look into that!!
Q: Hi Saab! I was wondering kailan kayo nagstart magsave ng money ni Jim-yours and his as one. Did you wait until you’re engaged/married? I wanted to help pay off my bf’s student loans. Thanks <3
A: When we got engaged, we opened a joint bank account where we both put in some money that would be used solely for the wedding expenses. I think it’s a good transition kasi the wedding is both yours so you need to keep checking with each other before spending. It build a habit of asking and eventually getting into the flow of which expenses don’t need permission from the other anymore. We now fund that joint account monthly with only what’s needed for the month. The rest goes to our individual monthly allowance, joint savings and paying off our home loan :)
Q: What do you do if there is a giant spider on your house, do you kill it, or just…shoo it away?
A: Happened to me once when I was living alone and I was trapped in my bathroom crying hahaha ang OA ko. The spider was in my bedroom so I felt “safe” in the bathroom. Mission impossible levels to lunge at my bed to get my phone tapos takbo ulit sa bathroom. I called the condo admin to send up a guard exagge ang useless ko. HAHAHA. I really would just run away and let someone else deal with it. Just like the rest of my life’s problems…… JOKE.
Q: i dont know if its a problem.. but i always the one who keeps “holding on” sa relationship. ung kahit alam ko tapos na. end na. pero kung OK pdin kame, go lang ako. like go with the flow.
A: That means you’re forgiving and you like giving second chances to people and things. Do you go back to a restaurant with bad food and give it another go? Is the food still horrible? At least you gave it another shot. Babalik ka pa ba ulit a third time? Girl, baka gusto mo talaga ng pangit ang lasa.
Q: Hi Saab! What is your advice if a guy who is still obsessed with his ex to the point he uses other girls to fall for him but eventually breaking their hearts as well?
A: Advice for the boy? Stop playing the victim. Breaking hearts won’t solve your own broken heart.
Q: Hi Saab! I’ve been seeing a lot of celebrity moms doing this cordblood banking thing for. My husband and I are thinking about growing our family soon. What are your thoughts about it?
A: I haven’t done enough research on it but if you can afford it, I think there’s no question about it. It could one day save your baby’s life, as far as I know!
Q: Hi Saab, what’s the brand your of shampoo, conditioner and hair mask? Your hair looks soo nice and has lots of volume! My hair is also naturally wavy. :)
A: Thank you! I use Dove shampoo, conditioner, and Matrix Biolage ColorLast Mask (I try to do it once a week!)
Q: Saab!, you miss your 10 a.m habit! Hmmmp! 😂😜
A: OMG!!! I blame our US trip!! Chos. I have no one to blame but myself. :(
Q: Hi Saab! I have loved you since Lipgloss Days. Kapangalan ko yung character mo don ;) Anyway, I hope may blog party ka this year. Would really love to meet you in person. You’re my fave!
A: Thank you so much!! Aayusin natin yan!!
Q: Saab :D have you tried watching OITNB series (Orange is the New Black) on Netflix? If yes, What are your thoughts about the show? I really like it hihi
A: I LOVE it! The last season was a little dragging though, don’t you think?
Q: Would you mind if your ex is BFFs with your brothers? Just like you and Lo for example. :)
A: Not at all! Especially since okay naman kami ng exes ko.
Q: Dear Saab,
Could you give advice to those already at 30 years old and still unable to find out what job will truly satisfy them? We try not to feel guilty. But, it still catches up with you.
A: Here’s a link to Steve Jobs’ Stanford commencement speech in 2005. Here are some notable passages that might help you:
You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.
When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: “If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you’ll most certainly be right.” It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.
Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.
Q: Hi Saab! 😊 When you’re making a vlog like your NY trip, yung mga videos dun spontaneous lang o scripted? And what video editor are you using? Thanks! PS tnx for answering my prev question! 😊😘
A: Wow, I’m surprised hindi obvious na spontaneous lahat nun! Hahaha! Video editor is just iMovie.
Q: Hi, Saab! What’s your definition of a toxic relationship/boyfriend/girlfriend?
A: When you feel hurt and you’re afraid to tell the other because he/she might get mad.
Q: Kamusta na si Mau Torralba
A: Okay!! He played with us for two gigs last Saturday :)
Q: Hi Saab! Do you save up for your trips or are they mostly sponsored? Can you give tips on how to save? Can you share the brand of toiletries you use? How do you keep yourself updated with everything?
A: Konti lang yung sponsored trips ko, I usually pay for them myself :) I only go on trips if I have the money to pay for it right now. And I over-budget so I’m never in a rut. I’m lucky hindi ako mahilig mag-shopping kahit I’m abroad. Most of my money goes to entrance fees, transpo, food. I’ll probably splurge on one item if I can afford it hehe. Toiletries I use when travelling: I just buy those travel-sized containers and transfer my existing ones! I stay online even when I travel :)
Q: Hi Saab! Wala ba talagang ask saab 62-64? Or na-overlook ko lang? Hihi! If you don’t mind, ano ang source of income/businesses mo aside sa band, blog and cup fiction? :) may dream business ka pa? :)
A: Meron Ask Saab 62-64!! Hehe. Wala akong ibang dream business, okay na ako sa anong meron ako – it’s pretty difficult to juggle as is but kaya pa naman!!:)
Q: Hi, Saab! Hindi naman ako ganun ka-insecure sa katawan ko dati, pero ngayon iba na nafifeel ko. Lalo na pag nakikita ko yung mga picture ng babaeng tinitignan ng bf ko sa fb. Naiiyak ako sa inis. Help
A: Oh no :( Does your boyfriend really go out of his way to look at other girls’ photos?? Why?! How strange. I don’t go out of my way to search for topless guys… I mean guys with no shirts. ‘Topless guys’ sounds like guys with no upper body. Anyway, I would try and talk to my boyfriend if I were you. He probably has no clue you feel that way :( If he comforts you, then you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. If he does nothing, you only have to worry about having a jerk for a boyfriend. Yikes!
Q: Hi Saab! What camera do you recommend that’s good for travelling?
A: My Sony A6000 is really light and easy to bring around!
Q: Hi Saab :) I just want to ask, what questions do immigration officers usually ask you at the port of entry (US) and how many months bnibgay sayo to stay in the US? Thank you! :) -G
A: Where are you going? What are you going to do? Where are you staying? If you’re there for too long, they’ll probably ask how you can afford to be away from school/work for so long. Just tell the truth! The maximum duration on a visitor’s VISA is 6 months as far as I know :)
