A few weeks ago, I sent out a tweet asking for suggestions on where to donate books I no longer want to keep and so many of you “jokingly” said your own book shelves would gladly receive my donations. Well, some jokes are half meant. Sometimes, they’re not even jokes at all. So here you go, before I do my usual 12 Books of Christmas, here are some books that you might enjoy. The books are either pre-loved, unused, or I somehow have more than one copy of it.
Some of the books are great but as I learned from reading The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondo, books are meant to be read and then shared. So unless it’s part of my “hall of fame” or current favorites, I should learn to let it go. I don’t want to be selfish and my book shelf doesn’t want to be… Shelf-ish.? Thank you. Thank you very much.
Here are three stacks of books that you may choose from:
Tell All and Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, Adland by James P. Othmer, Be More Chill by Ned Vizzini, The Internet Is A Playground by David Thorne, Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children and Hollow City by Ransom Riggs, NOS4A2 by Joe Hill, Unscripted by Sarah Meier and Vicky Herrera
Room by Emma Donoghue, Life of Pi by Yann Martel, The Mysterious Benedict Society and The Perilous Journey + The Prisoner’s Dilemma by Trenton Lee Stewart, Zombies VS Unicorns by various authors, Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, The Pocket Wife by Susan Crawford, Unscripted by Sarah Meier & Vicky Herrera
Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen, This is How You Lose Her by Junot Diaz (NOTE: I’m so sorry but apparently I just gave this to my friend who wanted it so this won’t be part of the bunch), CLASS by Cecily Von Ziegesar, Paper Towns by John Green, Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella, Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple, The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling, Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan, Makeup Manual by Bobbi Brown
Simply leave a comment below with which stack you’d like to take home and why. Don’t forget to leave your e-mail addresses. I’ll choose 3 winners by 5pm tomorrow night. You will have to pick up the books yourselves so hopefully you’re from Metro Manila or you have a friend who will be willing to claim it for you.
Also, I turned 27 last Monday! YAY. Thank you for all your well wishes!! My blog’s 12th birthday is also coming up this December, actually.
