While watching the live screening of the MTV Video Music Awards in Singapore, I wasn’t feeling all that great. My head was throbbing and I was shivering. I knew I had a fever. It was the most uncomfortable plane ride flying home to Manila. I was freezing and I couldn’t sleep because of my head ache. When we landed I told Jim I’d skip out on Cheats’ gig so I could sleep early. The following day, Tuesday, I just stayed home and hydrated myself in between naps and TV shows. I had paracetamols every 6 hours, thinking it was just a fever that I had to ride through. Wednesday morning was the worst though, my headache was much worse and for somebody with a high threshold for pain, it was definitely a cause for concern. My mom sent me yaya Gleza and her driver to take me to the doctor. After a blood test and urinalysis, my doctor said I had dengue and had to be confined. I was pretty much knocked out the whole of Wednesday because they gave me a sedative so my body could rest.
I got discharged on Saturday morning and am now blogging happily from home. I can’t go out or do anything strenuous for 2 weeks but I’m just happy my right hand is out of that needle and I can blog again!!
I want to thank my friends for texting and visiting me while I was confined, it’s very much appreciated!!
Didn’t really get to take a lot of photos because, well.. I was sick. Haha. But thank you to Nyko, Adrianne, Candy, Miggy, Enzo, Ernest, Jim’s parents Tita Bing and Tito Gerry, Tita Maricar, Maxx, my grammy and of course my mom!
So cute, my grandmother sent this e-mail to my mom’s sister from the States. The subject reads Love and Romance in Dengue Land:
Isabella is her pretty self again and is recovering well, if being chatty is a sign.
Her fiance Jim watches over her in hospital after he comes from work.
They are comfortable in each others company.
He is a charming and lively fellow. Smiley. He is friendly and fluent. They seem to be a good match. They also both wear glasses.
A beautiful diamond engagement ring sparkled on Isabella’s finger when I visited her at Cardinal Santos where she is confined, positive for Dengue Fever.
The vow to be by each other “in sickness and in health” seems to have come ahead of the wedding to test them.
Let’s hope for dear Saab’s speedy recovery so that she and Jim can continue
to live happily ever after.
SO CUTE!! ACK!! Anyway, I’m also very thankful for yaya Gleza who took very good care of me and massaged my exploding head when the nurse told me nobody could do it from their staff. Kaloka! Since I am under house arrest (kinda) for the next few weeks, I hope you can help entertain me online :D
I also want to give a special shout out to my dear bunny ♥
