Do you have a hard time getting enough rest at night? I’m constantly on the lookout for tips on productivity and I know for a fact that I work better when I get at least 8 hours of sleep. While our going-to-bed rituals all differ, here’s a suggested formula that I got from Lifehacker.com.

If you want a simple approach to sleeping better and taking control of your mornings, Fitness coach Craig Ballantyne at the Early To Rise blog recommends you follow the “10-3-2-1-0″ formula:

– 10 hours before bed: No more caffeine
– 3 hours before bed: No more food or alcohol
– 2 hours before bed: No more work
– 1 hour before bed: No more screen time
– 0: The number of times you hit the snooze button in the morning

Easier said than done, I know. But it makes a lot of sense and it’s easy to remember! I really want to be able to sleep earlier on nights when my band Cheats doesn’t have gigs. I want to be in bed by 10pm at the latest. A good night’s sleep means a productive day for me! Just wanted to share this with you guys in case you’re also looking to sleeping better.

♥,
Saab

    Hi Saab!

I just want to add, lessen your sweet/sugar intake too. It helped me in so many ways! I slept better, had better skin and nawala migraines ko. Now my sugar will only come from fruits and dark chocolate (na once or twice a week lang). Also, have you tried aromatherapy? I bought this humidifer thing online and put a few drops of oil (may stall sa tapat ng True Value Shang that sells really good essential oils na mura, I forgot the name haha), I not only sleep better, I breathe better and wake up super refreshed! I sleep 10PM and wake up 5AM EVERYDAY.

Good luck! Love ko kayo ni Jim and Joey Bear huhu Hindi ako creepy promise. haha

Oops, last pala, please try searching brainwave music. I listen to these beats too when I want to sleep better. May delta, alpha, beta brainwaves ek ek sya na hindi ko alam talaga if totoo but it super works for me. I recommended it to my friends and family and they all said it works. Youtube has a ton of brainwave beats for deep sleep, relaxation, release of anxiety, etc. I hope it helps you and other readers who want to sleep better!

    Hugs!

No, he’s my contact from Juice.ph. He set up my servers and has access to my WordPress. But a new plugin I installed has been putting his username as author by default haha! Should I accept guest posts? I don’t know how that works!

I’ve been trying to sleep earlier lately but it just won’t work with me–always used to sleeping past midnight. Will try these out (I don’t follow the caffeine and screen time sooo…), hopefully they’ll work. Thanks, Saab! And that photo of you and Joey Bear is sooo cute. Don’t know if I ship you more with Joey or Jim lol.

Oh no, he’s my tech guy from Juice.ph so he has access to my blog to fix it when servers are down. Sometimes the “author” drop down chooses him because of a plugin I installed lately. Will fix that! Thanks!
