Day 2 started with a complimentary buffet breakfast. How I wish all days started like this.
Dress envy! This girl’s wearing my tattoo!!
Milk tea was served in this baby bottle. Cute!
Our first plan for the day was to go to a huge amusement park called Sunway Lagoon. It’s famous for its water park but we didn’t feel like going swimming (and probably catching an ear infection) so we decided to just do the dry rides! Entrance fee is RM120 which is equivalent to a little over Php1,500.
Cute souvenirs. I really wanted to get one but I wasn’t sure what to put. Ugh. Regrets!! Can I have this done in Manila?!
Trying to beat the heat! They had a no-cash system all throughout the park. We had reloadable tickets on our wrists. It was very efficient!
Entering SURF BEACH
Kinda sad we didn’t try this hahahaa
Also kinda sad we didn’t get to try the world’s highest and largest water ride called Vuvuzela.
At least we got to watch these awesome stunt divers!!
And then we went to the mini jungle!! Look at this giant snake!!!! It died 4 years ago but they preserved her because she was well loved by the care takers. Her name was Suzy!
Ever seen a tuko?!!??!? So creepy. Looks like Randall from Monster’s Inc. Also, remember that hoax that tukos can cure AIDS and other diseases? LOL.
Albino hedgehog! The caretaker took him out so we could pet him for a while. Cutie pie!
Can you feel this tarantula just by looking at it?! I did.. *shiver*
Naked mole rats are naked. Hahaha
These birds were just roaming freely near the lake
And these tortoises were about to have sexy time.
Ironically, that escalated quickly
Would you believe we saw a fox?!?! This is a baby fox!!!
This looks like an ostrich but it’s not. Sorry, I forget what it is!!
These birds were just hanging out and I love the fact that they have no shackles on their feet. They look like they’re free to just fly away but I guess they like being fed here. Hehe.
Lazy ass sugar glider
Prairie dog. Hahaha remember that drama prairie dog meme?
Tiger paw prints! But the tiger apparently only comes out at 1PM so we missed it :(
But it’s alright because I SAW A BEAR!!!!! Super JOEY look alike!
This ride was called Pirate’s Revenge and we did NOT ride it even if Paolo was super forcing us to. Hahaha SORRY!
BUT he did trick us into riding the Tomahawk. Candy and I thought it was just like Enchanted Kingdom’s Anchor’s Away but apparently it also went around 360 degrees!!! Grabe yung sigaw namin. HAHAHA!! Watch footage of a guy riding the tomahawak here. Grabe yun, we only found out it was gonna go around 360 degrees right before the ride started so we got off. But we were guilt tripped into getting back on to keep the “balance” and since we didn’t want to be a hassle, we got on and I seriously almost cried hahahaha! Candy and I were both in skirts and let me just say the people below were in for a treat LOL. Candy was going cray cray when the men in charge were joking that they would let us go another round. She screamed “I’M GOING TO SUE YOU!!!” Hahahahahahahahahahahahaaha!!!
Anyway, we left Sunway Lagoon a little light headed from the ride haha. Took a cab to Central Market to buy pasalubong!:)
I never knew you could eat honeycomb!!
My biggest fan
A nice wishing tree for the passengers of flight MH370 :(
We had dinner at the hawkers food court across the hotel. I ordered Nasi Goreng.
Nica and Pao :)
Fete dela Musique was being celebrated in Malaysia as well so we checked out some stages that turned out to be a number of bars lined up beside each other!
It felt like home seeing musicians just chilling outside. Very Saguijo vibes!
We went to the indie-electronic stage in Pisco Bar. Caught the last song of the band KissKillMary. Still LSS up to now in fairness. Hahaha.
This was the second band we watched. They covered awesome songs but we could barely hear the voice of the singer.. It was pretty cool though when she came up to Candy and I and gave us the mic to sing the last chorus of Chvrches’ Mother To Share. Yay!
Happy group with some Malaysian locals we met!:D
The next band we saw was super cool. They’re called 2dB. I noticed they were super awkward and shy onstage like they hadn’t been performing for a long time yet hehe but they still sounded great. The girl’s voice reminded me of Cibo Matto!
Listen to this amazing track
We went home early so we could rest and catch our flight the following day but we still managed to go up to check out the pool at night. So pretty *u*
The next day we almost missed our flight as in running in the airport scenario but to cut the story short, we made it and when we got to our seats – we ate a lot.
Hahaha. Thank you so much to MTV Asia and Aloft Hotels for taking such good care of us! Thanks to Nica and Pao for being great travel buddies!!:) I hope you enjoyed my Kuala Lumpur Diary! Looking forward to sharing my next trip with you guys!!
