As you may have already heard by now, I wasn’t able to fly to Boracay for Maxx and Rob’s wedding :( For months, I had my doctor’s go signal but, alas, the holidays were a bit too stressful for me and the twins so I was advised to stay put at home. If you want the grimy details: my cervix was thinning out way too early and since carrying multiples makes me prone to pre-term labor, I had to stay in bed and get progesterone injections to keep them inside me for much longer. The good news is that I went back to the doctor last week and my cervix has gone back to its normal size! Praise God (and my OB)!
I’m so happy for my sister and I can’t wait to properly celebrate with her when I’m all better! For now, let me look back on a celebration that I *was* able to be a part of!!! Maxx’s bachelorette party!!!
I’ve only ever been to 3 bachelorette parties in my life: as a guest to my friend Kristia’s party, as the guest of honor at my very own one, and as the co-host of Maxx’s! This was just days after the more conservative (hehe) bridal shower I threw and literally the day after Cheats‘ album launch so I’m very grateful for the rest of the bridesmaids (Lauren, especially!!) for helping out with all the planning.
Here’s what went down during our slumber party at Solaire Resort and Casino:
A Warm Welcome At Solaire’s Presidential Suite
I knew we were going to stay at a 3-bedroom suite but I didn’t know it was going to be THAT HUGE!!! We could have literally lived there without bumping into each other because of how big it was! Check out Solaire’s website to see photos of the suite, it looks EXACTLY like that.
Crashing Megan, Lauren, and Janna’s Room
Sabi kasi ni Megan, stretch out your leg so you look longer. Hahaha!
A Private Cabana and Jacuzzi!
I got a really REALLY good massage. I was so surprised because even if my doctor gave me the go signal for massages (just not while lying on my belly), a lot of massage therapists really don’t want to touch a pregnant woman. It was so refreshing to me that the Solaire staff didn’t make a big deal out of it and they treated me really well as in tulo laway while tulog levels hehehe.
Solaire Magical Holiday!
We passed by Solaire’s special holiday photo station set up right beside a beautiful Christmas tree and we just couldn’t help ourselves! Don’t you wish you had about 20 spare phones so you can set up a 360 thingamajig at home for your OOTDs?! Hahaha
Dinner at Finestra
This was such an amazing dining experience for us. We had a VIP room and, because they knew it was a bachelorette party, they made sure no boy servers were allowed in the room! I liked that special touch!! The food was so delicious as you can see from the photos below.
Remember how I said the suite was so huge? Maxx didn’t even notice that there was one room that we hadn’t opened and explored! So we told her to open it hehehe
It was the party room, complete with karaoke machine — Maxx’s favorite!! At around close to midnight, a “neighbor” knocked on our door to complain about the noise… Maxx was starting to get so pissed off hahaha and then the “neighbor” said, “If you’re not going to lower the noise, I might as well join you guys.” OF COURSE EVERYBODY STARTED SCREAMING EVEN IF WE WERE ALL IN ON IT EXCEPT FOR MAXX HAHAHAHAHA!!! Needless to say, there are no photos or videos of the fun and games that ensued 😁✌️
Special thanks to Party Pals for providing all the party favors!! We didn’t realize that we set up the balloons to look like sperm!!! HAHAHA!!
The Awesome Cake
The Morning After
We made the most out of our morning before checking out by squeezing in some more karaoke time in the party room!
Gusto ko yung concert mode na si Megan!! Hahaha
I’m really so glad my sister will have this night to remember forever!! Love you, Maxx!!!
Before I end this post, I want to give a special shout out to Pinky our butler who helped us with everything!! She was so friendly and game to take our photos and she never judged us for being rowdy and noisy!! We loved having her with us!
Thank you once again to Solaire for such a wonderful stay!!
