Even if Japanese staples like ramen and sushi are welcomed by Pinoys, rice dishes will always be number one in our kanin-loving hearts, am I right?!
My personal go-to donburi meal is pork katsudon but I’m very open to trying new things especially if it has anything to do with rice. Lol.
And when I think of new items on the menu, my mind automatically goes to Tokyo Tokyo, the country’s no. 1 Japanese restaurant. As I previously blogged, Tokyo Tokyo likes to spice up their menu by always bringing something new to the literal table. They also like to spice things up by actually spicing things up like with their newest offering: the Sriracha Donburi 🌶
Personally, we always have Sriracha sauce in our home. The combination of tangy-sweet and spicy makes most of our meals more exciting and as Jim says, “sriracha makes the world a better place.”
Atop a steaming bowl of sriracha rice is a combination of beef misono, onion rings, nitamago egg and a drizzle of sriracha mayo. Is your mouth watering yet? Here’s the clincher: you can get it for just P155!
Ike Barinholtz (The Mindy Project) once said, “If I were a condiment, I’m gonna go ahead and say I would be Sriracha, because I go well with other things. I’m too much for some people, and hipsters like me.” LOL!
