Around the time I first started talking and when I could answer the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I’m told my answer would always be: MOMMY.

It was pretty strange for a grade schooler to be openly sharing that I wanted to have my first child when I turned 18 and that I didn’t need to have a husband. It was a Disney Princess’ nightmare.

swEven if my childhood dream was a little unconventional, I knew that the reason behind it was my wonderful relationship with my own mother (side note: her family nickname is Snow White because… well, she’s snow white). So when I figured out that the narrow age gap between us wasn’t the only reason we got along, I didn’t feel the pressure of bearing a child at a young age anymore. Praise the lord. Hahaha! The reason we get along so well is the fact that my mom really goes the extra mile to show me how much she loves me. She was our driver, calendar, make up artist, dictionary, pillow, and so much more all our years growing up. I only wish I can show her how much I love her too.

Nido Fortified launched their ‘Wear Your Love’ campaign to help kids express their appreciation for their #1MOMS and I’m happy our family was part of it! Nido Fortified let kids, with the help of their dads/ates/kuyas, customize t-shirts with reasons of why their moms are #1 in their hearts.

I had a hard time thinking of a reason why mom is #1 because I couldn’t seem to pinpoint just one. I decided to keep it simple, sweet, and with the hopes of getting more of her pancakes in my tummy! Hehe.

But no, we didn’t let mom cook for us on Mother’s Day. Instead, we went to her favorite restaurant Milky & Sunny in Kapitolyo!

Mom had the aptly-named Mama Meaty Spaghetti – perfect for the occasion!

Of course she didn’t wear any of our shirts because that would be favoritism haha! Belated happy mother’s day, mom! I already greeted you last Sunday but I just wanted to put it out there for all the world to see! I love you!<3

Naiyak ako kasi hindi ko na na experience si mama while growing up kase naghiwalay sila ni pudra when I’m 5 years old si lola na ang nakasama ko and my tita.. but now i realize di naman importante yun ngayon kase my mom still #1Mom dahil binigyan nya ako ng buhay..

    Belated Happy mother’s day!

Question: Have you ever felt like she had a favorite before? May selosan bang naganap sa inyong magkakapatid? Anong ginagawa nio pag nangyayari yun? Hehe. Curious.
